Prototyping - Sure, why not!

Prototyping describes a process in which a preliminary version of a product is created to visualize and test an idea before the final product is developed. It’s perfect for experimenting and learning too! When prototyping, our goal is not to achieve a perfect result but to develop something with less effort and resources that is sufficient to test the functionality, user-friendliness, or technical feasibility. The prototyping process fosters creativity because the product can still be modified relatively easily. It allows us to consider improvements and ideas during the development phase. Some prototypes remain in the prototype phase forever and are still used daily. But that’s totally fine as long as it fits your needs and you don’t intend to market the product.

How to recognize that our project is a prototype:

  • Cables are not permanently soldered.
  • We don’t pay attention to the size of the product.
  • No enclosure.
